On a shoot, every location poses its own challenges. The available space, the access and the need to work close to the camera team make having a well-equipped DIT station essential.
At El Marqués del RAW, our DIT VAN service brings the DIT workstation directly to the location. A Transporter T7 van fitted out as a mobile office, designed to offer a comfortable and functional space to work with the director of photography, review the image under good ambient light conditions and manage the technical needs of each production.
A DIT office on wheels
The interior of our DIT VAN is equipped as a professional workspace, ready to carry out the DIT’s tasks during the shoot.
It allows you to work comfortably alongside the director of photography, collaborate with production and meet the client’s needs without relying on improvised spaces or tents at the location.
A dedicated working environment that facilitates communication between departments, speeds up reviews and keeps the workflow close to the action.
Near Set Lab
In feature film and fiction workflows, having a technical space close to the set can be essential to organize and process the material generated during the day.
Our DIT VAN can serve as an operating base for the Data Manager, for a Near Set Lab workflow, adapting the equipment and services to the needs of each production.
Depending on the project, this environment can be used to organize the management of camera material, work with the data and prepare the processes required for delivery to post-production.
The goal is to bring the technical infrastructure closer to the shoot, facilitate coordination with the camera and post-production departments and adapt the workflow to the characteristics of each project.
More sustainable energy on set
The DIT VAN incorporates an energy system based on EcoFlow batteries and EcoFlow solar panels to power the work equipment.
This solution allows working with stored and solar energy, reducing the need to use combustion generators to power the DIT station. It also avoids the noise and direct emissions associated with those generators during use of the equipment.
A particularly interesting advantage for productions looking to reduce their environmental impact and improve their sustainability indicators.
Mobility to adapt to every location
Working close to the set does not always mean being able to park next to the camera. That is why our DIT VAN features an Innovative Echo 36 and Innovative Echo 30 cart (https://inovativ.com/collections/all-products/products/motorized-apollo-workstation), which allows the equipment to be transported and a workstation to be quickly deployed when the location requires it.
The van is built on a Volkswagen Transporter T7 (L2), a vehicle that combines working and transport capacity with contained dimensions, especially useful in urban locations, reduced spaces or shoots with limited access.
This way we combine the advantages of an equipped office with the flexibility of bringing the DIT’s work to the point where it is needed.
